Apple acquires classical music streaming service Primephonic

Apple has officially announced the acquisition of the Primephonic classical music streaming application. It is expected that the new asset will allow the “apple” company to expand the library of classical compositions in its own services.

The Cupertino-based firm said that more classic Primephonic tunes and playlists will soon appear on Apple Music, which will be available to all subscribers. And already in 2022, the company intends to release a separate service of classics with a convenient search by composers and performers, metadata and many other options.

We add that the ability to subscribe to Primephonic has already been disabled. The service will stop working on September 7. Subscribers can apply for a refund and get a six-month free Apple Music subscription.

Recall that three years ago, in September 2018, Apple acquired the Shazam service, which allows you to determine which song is playing at the moment.
