Russia is not going to attack anyone and is set up for good-neighborly relations with the people of Ukraine, said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the United States Anatoly Antonov in his Facebook account.
According to him, the accusations of the West are part of an information war directed against Moscow. Antonov suggested that their ultimate goal may be to provide an alibi for the operations of the Ukrainian army against Donbass. The ambassador called the US accusations against Russia blasphemy. “Washington has been stirring up the whole world for several months with statements that Ukraine is about to become a victim of “Russian aggression.” However, bad luck came out, because there is no attack,” he stressed.
Since the fall of 2021, the West and Ukraine have been accusing Russia of preparing an attack on Ukraine. The Kremlin has repeatedly refuted these assumptions. Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, pointed to the lack of evidence of a “threat of invasion.”
The diplomat called incorrect the words that Russia is allegedly blackmailing the United States and NATO with threats of an attack on Ukraine.
