Chilean authorities are interested in the Russian vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press secretary of the Russian Embassy in Santiago Denis Vinokurov.
“This week, a meeting was held between the Chilean authorities and the Gamaleya laboratory to reach an agreement that would allow the transmission of information on the results of the Sputnik V vaccine to Chilean scientists,” the agency quoted him as saying.
This information was also confirmed by the Chilean Foreign Ministry: they said that Chilean diplomats met with representatives of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the laboratory on Monday, January 11.
Chile's authorities will supply over 30 million doses of vaccine from abroad. First of all, this is a drug by the American Pfizer, but the contract has been signed with several other companies.
On January 13, RDIF announced that the Venezuelan Ministry of Health has registered the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. It was previously registered in Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria and Palestine
