Funding is provided within the 15th aid package to Ukraine.
Sweden supported the Czech initiative to supply artillery shells for the Ukrainian military . The country's government has allocated 30 million euros for this.
Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonson announced this.
As noted, the Swedish government has decided to negotiate and conclude an agreement with the relevant authority of the Czech Republic. They understand that Ukraine's need for ammunition is great, especially artillery.
The Czech Republic has identified the possibility of purchasing large volumes of ammunition on the world market to transfer them to Ukraine. Therefore, the Swedish government decided to support the Czech Republic in this initiative.
We would like to add that funding is provided within the framework of the 15th aid package to Ukraine. This package is under consideration in the Riksdag (parliament), and Sweden's contribution to the Czech initiative requires the Riksdag to vote in favor of the government's proposal for further amendments to the budget.
Recall that Russia cannot restrain the expansion of the Alliance. This was proven by Sweden gaining full membership in NATO.
