Another country has allowed the supply of “Sputnik V”

The supply of the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus was allowed in another country. The authorization to import the drug was issued by the Institute of Medicines and Medical Devices of Montenegro. RIA Novosti reported about it with reference to the department.

It is specified that the permit was issued in accordance with the decision of the government of Montenegro. Currently, the country does not carry out mass vaccination in the country due to the lack of a drug for immunization.

Earlier, The Washington Post journalist Ishan Tarur predicted global success for Russia thanks to the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. He pointed out that the West underestimated the Russian development, but the proven advantages of the drug after publication in the scientific medical journal Lancet fueled the interest of states in the Russian vaccine. Among them were the countries of the European Union, where immunization of the population is delayed due to a lack of vaccines.

The Russian drug “Sputnik V” became the world's first registered vaccine based on the human adenovirus. Currently, the development of Russian scientists is among the ten best vaccine candidates in the list of the World Health Organization (WHO). 12 countries have already approved the use of Sputnik V on their territory. In Russia, the vaccination campaign started on December 5, 2020.
