In Android 12, the ability to control a smartphone using facial expressions will be implemented. Presumably, these features will be presented in the fall at a traditional Google presentation.
According to the Verge edition, the system will recognize eye movement, eyebrow raising, mouth opening. Perhaps there will be some more features that have not yet been reported. With the help of these gestures, it will be possible to launch the camera, control the video, etc. As the publication notes, these functions are already being tested on a limited number of Pixel smartphones, and after the official presentation of the OS will become available to all users of gadgets on Android 12.
It also noted that facial expression recognition technology is built into the Android Accessibility Suite running on Android 10 and 11.
