The former head of the coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko was fired from the post of head coach of the Italian football club Genoa.
The club thanked the coach and his assistants for the work done. The Ukrainian led the Griffins in November 2021.
During Shevchenko's work, the Genoese team won one game out of 11 matches – against Salernitana (1:0) in the Coppa Italia. Another seven matches of the football team ended in defeats, there were also three draws.
Shevchenko after the defeat from Milan spoke about a possible dismissal from Genoa. He stated that he does his job day in and day out.

Andriy Shevchenko is a former head coach of the Ukrainian national football team. Thanks to his work, Ukrainian athletes have historically been included in the top eight teams at the Euro 2020 championship.
