Freedom Finance analysts predicted an increase in prices for a number of goods in Russia in 2022, namely, food, cars and household appliances. This is reported by URA.RU.

Nevertheless, experts are confident that the grocery basket will add less in value than in 2021. Among the reasons they named the imposition of a limit on the export of fertilizers by the government in November, which will allow avoiding a deficit and ensuring the domestic market.

Analysts also called the policy of the Central Bank, the possible relief of the situation with the coronavirus pandemic and an increase in yields, as positive factors. It is expected that the rise in prices in 2022 will be less than 10 percent against 12 percent according to Rosstat in 2021.

Experts expect a rise in prices, first of all, for imported food products due to problems with logistics, since freight carriers plan to raise prices for their services by 15-25 percent. Also, a slight increase in the cost of cars and household appliances is expected within the framework of general inflation by 5.5-6.5 percent.

“This year the prices for meat, eggs, vegetables and cereals have risen more than others. This means that next year they are more prone to inflation than others. But, if the harvest returns to pre-pandemic levels, then by the fall prices for cereals and part of vegetable products will decline, ”the analysts concluded.

Earlier it became known that over the year the cost of cooking Olivier soared by 15 percent, such data follow from the results of a study by the Check Index service. The average bill for making a salad according to a classic Soviet recipe (with boiled sausage) for four servings from December 1 to 25 amounted to 482 rubles for Russians (62 rubles more than a year ago).
