During the night of February 27, the Russian occupying troops committed two man-made disasters in Ukraine – they launched a missile attack on an oil depot in the village of Kryachki near Vasilkov and blew up a gas pipeline in Kharkov.
The State Service for Special Communications published instructions on what people should do in case of accidents at chemical facilities.
First of all, you need to close the windows and do not open them unnecessarily. When opening – hang them with a damp or gauze cloth, change it periodically.
Avoid prolonged exposure to air.
Use the air conditioning and air purification system. Put water containers in the room to increase the humidity of the air.
Regularly carry out wet cleaning.
If you smell smoke, immediately put on wet masks, isolate window and door openings with a damp cloth.
Increase fluid intake to two to three liters per day for adults. It is recommended to drink salted and mineral alkaline water, lactic acid drinks (oxygen-protein cocktails). Avoid carbonated drinks.
Take a shower several times a day, and rinse your nose and throat.
If you have problems with cardiovascular diseases, additionally consult with your doctor.
And it is best to immediately leave the place close to the accident. In case of impossibility, follow these minimal tips.
