In the Russian Kurgan at a plant ” < b>Kurganmashzavod, where military equipment is produced, an explosion occurred. The emergency took place on Wednesday, September 13.

As BAZA writes, the explosion occurred during welding work in the workshop for assembling fuel tanks for infantry fighting vehicles. As a result, two plant employees were injured – a 25-year-old assembler and a 38-year-old welder. They were taken to a local hospital with various burns.

They claim that the fire was extinguished by workshop workers. Rescuers were not called to the scene.
We would like to add that the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant is the only Russian plant specializing in the production of infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) and vehicles based on them. Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the plant is under international sanctions from the European Union, the United States and a number of other countries.
