Blocking and disruption of logistics will lead to a deterioration in the economic situation and a decrease in the income of Poles involved in supply chains or serving transit.
A poster calling on Putin to “deal with” Ukraine placed on a Polish farmer's tractor during protests near the Ukrainian border is aimed primarily at Russians and Poles, not Ukrainians.
This opinion was expressed in a conversation with Espreso.Zakhid by economic expert and communications specialist Viktor Galchinsky.
“The picture “Putin, put things in order” is one of the first that is being prepared not for the Ukrainian viewer or Ukrainians in general, but for Russians and Poles, who are told: look, here you have problems. Although in fact, if you look at the economic side, these blockages and logistics disruptions will lead to a deterioration in the economic situation and a decrease in the incomes of people involved in export chains to Ukraine or servicing transit,” he noted.
Viktor Galchinsky noted that at least 100,000 Poles work in this chain of export-import transportation, who in a month or two will begin to feel a decline in income.
“Life will become worse for them, and they will say: we need to restore order,” says the expert.
The Ukrainian viewer, according to Galchinsky, was targeted at pictures with scattered grain, which should evoke negative emotions and hatred towards our ally.
“Although, if we return to the history of 2022, the first who came out to help our people with food, clothing, and gave free housing were ordinary Poles. Nobody asked them, no one organized them. They understood that firstly, people are in trouble, and secondly, that they could be next. The Polish authorities got involved after they saw how their voters reacted,” he noted.
Recall that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland expressed concern about the pro-Russian poster that one of the protesters used to block the border. The department calls for distancing from such persons, because it harms the country’s reputation.
