Almost half of US residents (47 percent) supported the idea that the current President of the country, Republican Donald Trump, will take part in the presidential elections in 2024. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted jointly by the Hill newspaper and the Harris Research Service.
As the newspaper points out, this point of view is mainly held by the American supporters of the Republicans – 75 percent of the number of respondents who support this particular party. Among survey participants who support Democrats, only 24 percent wanted Trump to run in the next election.
Earlier, a poll by Politico newspaper and Morning Consult showed that almost half (46 percent) of American voters believe that US President Donald Trump should immediately admit defeat in the 2020 elections. At the same time, 12 percent of those polled advised Trump not to yield to his rival in the elections, Joe Biden “no matter what.”
On November 3, 2020, the next presidential elections were held in the United States. The counting of votes and the proceedings on this issue are still ongoing. According to the media, Biden received the necessary number of electoral votes to win, thus beating Trump. The democrat has already proclaimed himself the elected president of the United States. Trump, in turn, said that Biden was in a hurry to call himself the country's new leader.
