According to Piontkovsky, the Americans have somewhat changed the concept of nuclear deterrence. That is, the doctrine of mutual guarantee of destruction was previously working, which means a 100% retaliatory nuclear strike, which can kill millions of people at a time.
It turned out that such deterrence does not work for Putin , because for people like him, you need a different personal one. Then the United States explained to him that in the event of such a strike, he himself would die very quickly, – the publicist noted.

As Piontkovsky stressed, this was clear in Moscow. Recently, the degree of nuclear rhetoric has decreased on Russian television. At the same time, more and more statements began to be heard that Russia would never strike such a blow.

At the same time, Piontkovsky reminded that soon the Ukrainian military will have the most modern weapons, so the situation in Russia will only worsen again.
“In my opinion, he (Putin – Channel 24) understands that no. In this state, dictators do not stay in power for a long time,” Piontkovsky said.
