American won $ 1 million in the lottery due to the cashier's carelessness
A resident of the American city of Bono in the state of Arkansas won $ 1 million, or about 75 million rubles, thanks to the error of a cashier in a supermarket, according to the official website of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
Together with food, the woman bought several lottery tickets in the supermarket. Each of them cost no more than $ 10, but the cashier accidentally sold her a ticket for $ 20 – it was he who won.
The woman decided to check the tickets immediately, in her own car. When she wiped off the protective layer and saw the number 12 (the winning number), she thought she might have won a hundred dollars. Then the woman drew attention to the letter “M”, rubbed her eyes several times and began to cry.
The winner, together with her spouse, will spend part of the winnings to pay off loans taken to buy a house and cars. However, the couple plans to set aside the main prize for retirement.
Previously, the lucky one from Michigan won a billion dollars in the lottery. The lucky participant got the only ticket in which all six numbers matched.
