American teacher demanded that schoolchildren swear allegiance to the flag of the LGBT community

The California authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident with the call of the school teacher Christine Pitzen to the students to swear allegiance to the rainbow flag.

The video, in which Pitzen enthusiastically talks about his idea, went viral on social networks and caused an outrage from the Americans.

In the United States, there is a tradition according to which, at one of the lessons, students stand up and pronounce the words of an oath of allegiance to the flag of their country.

“My class stood up, but the students did not utter a word, since there was no national flag in my office,” the teacher said.

She explained the absence of a flag in the class very simply – during the pandemic, she did not agree with the actions of the authorities and, in protest, removed the symbol of statehood from the wall. And the teacher brought the flag of the LGBT community to the classroom.

And when one of the students asked Pitzen where to look, taking an oath, she, without thinking twice, answered: “There is a flag in the office that you can swear to.”

Despite the tolerance prevailing in the country, most Americans considered such an attitude to the state flag insulting and did not stint on epithets for the teacher, but the former and. O. Director of US National Intelligence Rick Grenell asked directly:

“What parent would allow this stupid woman to teach her child?

District officials said they have already initiated an investigation into the teacher's behavior:

“We are aware of this incident and are conducting our own verification. Although we usually do not discuss our employees, we still want to say that showing respect for the banner of our country is a value that we instill in students and expect it from employees. – reported the leadership of the school district, which quoted Fox News.
