American planned terrorist attacks against Democrats after Trump's defeat

by alex

A California resident was arrested on suspicion of making improvised explosive devices and allegedly plotting attacks against Democratic politicians following the defeat of Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election. The New York Post reports this with reference to the police.

43-year-old American Ian Benjamin Rogers was arrested in January. Law enforcers found 49 firearms, a significant stock of ammunition, five fully finished homemade bombs, and instructions on how to create explosive devices.

Rogers, an auto mechanic, claims he collected bombs for fun. However, there is clear evidence from his telephone messages that he was plotting against the authorities. “I really want to blow up the Democratic building,” he wrote in one post. In another, after the storming of the Capitol, he writes: “Let's see what will happen if nothing happens – I will declare war.”

It is also reported that he was about to leave the explosives in the office of the Democratic governor. As noted by the police, the attacker is an ardent admirer of ex-President Donald Trump.

Protesters against the election results, Trump supporters broke into the Capitol building on January 6 and surrounded the Senate hall. The Senate and the House of Representatives interrupted a meeting at which it was planned to approve the results of the last elections. Dozens of people were detained, five people were killed.
