American pilots were allowed to be vaccinated against coronavirus with one condition. This was reported on the website of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Pilots and air traffic controllers who have received medical clearance from the FAA can inject themselves with the vaccine from Pfizer and Moderna, the agency said. However, for 48 hours after vaccination, they are prohibited from performing their work duties related to safety issues such as flying or air traffic control.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) committee of the US Department of Health and Human Services has licensed Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use. It is noted that the first drug should be received by doctors and the elderly, and the delivery of the vaccine will begin within 24 hours after obtaining a license to use it.

There are currently several COVID-19 vaccines in the world. Thus, two vaccines are registered in Russia: Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona. On December 5, Moscow started vaccination against coronavirus with Sputnik V. Pfizer / BioNTech has registered a COVID-19 vaccine in the United States, and another Moderna vaccine is on the way.
