As it became known, the US military intelligence is interested in areas in the Crimea, closed by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The interest was so strong that the Americans sent an RQ-4B Global Hawk drone there.
Literally today, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been circling for a long time near the area in which restrictions on aircraft flights were introduced. According to Interfax, during this time, the RQ-4B Global Hawk made several successful flights along the coast of the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea.
It is reported that the starting point of the UAV flight was Sicily. It is at the local Sigonella airbase that drones of this type are based.
Note that the RQ-4A Global Hawk is known for having high-resolution cameras, as well as infrared sensors and radars for tracking moving objects. The device is capable of monitoring the situation to a depth of up to 300 kilometers, while transmitting all the necessary data via a satellite channel in real time.
