Several ambulances and emergency vehicles were seen near the White House. ABC News' Selina Wang reported that several entrances to the complex were blocked, and the Secret Service said “this is a routine closure to investigate a suspicious item.”

An object is reportedly causing a strange odor near the White House.

The White House has not yet made an official statement about the situations.
Recall that in May 2023, in Washington, a truck crashed into a fence on Lafayette Square near the White House. City authorities have already detained the driver. A Nazi flag with a swastika was found at the scene of the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the flag probably fell out of the truck after the impact.
