Amazon allows you to pay for purchases in its stores with the palm of your hand

by alex

The American corporation Amazon has introduced the ability to pay for purchases with a wave of the palm in its Whole Foods stores. The feature is currently only available in stores in Seattle, but in the coming months it will be available in other stores of the chain.

You do not need an Amazon account to pay for purchases with a wave of your hand, but you will need to register with Amazon One, where you will need to provide your phone number, bank card and scan your palm. A scanner at the checkout recognizes biometric data from the palm of your hand and automatically debits money from the card. Since 2018, Amazon has also tested Whole Foods stores without cashiers.
