The captain had almost a ppm of alcohol in his blood, two officers about 1.5 ppm.

In Gdansk, Poland, a Russian ship was detained, carrying metal structures and almost ran aground. It turned out that the captain of the ship and two officers were in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

This is reported by Polskie Radio and Polsat News.

According to the Coast Guard, the vessel was sailing from Klaipeda to the Gdansk Northern Port, but deviated from the course and headed towards the coast. The dry cargo ship, as they say, went at a speed of about 11 knots and ignored radio requests.

When there was less than a kilometer to the coast, the ship abruptly changed course, narrowly avoiding going aground. After that, a patrol boat went to the scene of the incident.
