All urban industries in Moscow are undergoing a digital revolution – Sobyanin
Moscow is one of the world leaders in digital technologies and online services, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin at the New Knowledge forum.
According to him, the technological readiness of the capital for the digital revolution, which will affect all branches of urban services, is extremely high.
He noted that a new generation of 5G communication is already being tested in the metropolis, and free Wi-Fi is available in almost all public places.
The mayor added that an intelligent transport system is developed in Moscow – artificial intelligence helps regulate traffic lights, and unmanned public transport is also being tested.
Earlier, Moscow reached the final of the Intelligent Community Awards, which includes cities that demonstrate advanced experience in the development of communications, the use of innovations, and digital inclusion.
We add that a complex of online services aimed at reducing water consumption in Moscow received a bronze medal at the prestigious International Business Awards.
