The President of Ukraine heard words of support from the leaders of churches and religious communities.
On Saturday, February 26, on the third day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with leaders of churches and religious communities in Ukraine, as well as with the Pope.
The head of the Ukrainian state announced this in his address.
Among the interlocutors of the Ukrainian president were the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate – TSN ) Metropolitan Onufry, the Chief Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Ahmed Tamim, the Chief Rabbi of Kiev and Ukraine Jacob Dov Bleich and His Holiness Pope Francis, Primate of the Catholic Church .
“Everyone, absolutely all leaders are praying for our defenders, for the souls of our heroes who gave their lives for our Ukraine, for our unity and for our victory. And this is very, very important!” Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured.
