All new F-16s unify

All new F-16 Fighting Falcon will be sold with one base model at a standard price. The Drive reports on the unification of the fourth generation fighters, citing the press and the American military-industrial corporation Lockheed Martin.

The last version of the Block 70/72 aircraft will form the basis of a single standard configuration. The full stuffing of the unified F-16 Fighting Falcon has not been disclosed, however, it is known that it will include an active phased array radar (AFAR), probably Northrop Grumman AN / APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR).

The cost of one such aircraft was also not reported.

Nevertheless, as the newspaper writes, Lockheed Martin plans to offer customers fighters with advanced capabilities on the basis of a unified model. This refers, for example, to the F-21 fighter that the United States is offering for India. Among the countries that may be interested in the F-16 Fighting Falcon is Indonesia.

Lockheed Martin assures that the proposed sales concept will save time and money both in the conclusion of contracts and in the actual production of aircraft.

In September, images of obsolete versions of the fifth generation F-35 Lightning II fighters disguised as the Russian Su-57 appeared on the network. Aircraft of the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, which the US Air Force (Air Force) will use to simulate enemy aircraft, should receive a similar coloring.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon multifunctional light fighter took off for the first time in February 1974. The aircraft is considered the most massive fourth-generation fighter. To date, more than 4.5 thousand of these machines have been produced. The fighter is in service with 25 countries.

The F-16V (Viper) Block 70 version features an active phased array radar, modern electronic warfare (EW) equipment, an updated on-board computer, as well as an upgraded monitor and cockpit seat.
