David Alaba at the Real presentation
David Alaba joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich. An action at his presentation causes frowns in Germany.
Alaba played 13 years for Bayern in his career, but after 431 competitive games and a total of 27 titles, they could not agree on a contract extension. Consequence: Alaba switched to Real Madrid. At the presentation in Spain he kissed the coat of arms of his new club. That doesn't go down well in Munich.
“I was also a bit surprised by the action after being with us for so long,” said Bayern President Herbert Hainer in “Bild”. Ultimately, however, he has to accept that: “That's life.” Some Bayern fans also commented on the action on the Internet as “dishonorable” and “disgusting”.
