As the publication reports, secret meetings took place in various places, including Vienna and New York.
“Britain did not conduct any active peace negotiations aimed at a diplomatic settlement of the war in Ukraine. The information was also confirmed by a senior British diplomat who took part in some of these meetings,” the report said.
A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office noted that meetings with officials allegedly did take place, but only when they were “absolutely necessary.”
He rejected the assertion that the discussions concerned negotiations on ending the war on the territory of Ukraine.
