People's Deputy Nikolai Tishchenko reacted to the scandal with his participation regarding the trip to Thailand. He noted that the Russian agenda now dominates in Asia, and he went there in order to correct this. At the same time, he stated that the journalists who wrote materials about him broke off.
Not so long ago, the news spread around the network that Tishchenko was expelled from the party and the Servant of the People faction from -for his seemingly working trip to one of the resort countries in Asia. On his pages on social networks, the scandalous people's deputy reacted to this only on the evening of January 30, accusing the media of spreading fakes.
“It's unpleasant to admit, but you screwed up”
According to the people's deputy, the media discredited the whole of Ukraine in front of the Vietnamese and Thai partners, spreading information about Tishchenko – that's why, in fact, they “screwed up.” He also stressed that he had been negotiating with the Asian allies for 2 weeks on the orders of the leadership, but “confidence was undermined” due to “stuffing” into the information space.
It must be understood that in Vietnam and Thailand the Russian agenda dominates, a very large number of Russian expats, the dominance of Russian tourism, the advantage of Russian investments, and, accordingly, Russian propaganda – all this does not make it clear to some Asian countries that Russia is waging a real full-scale war on Ukraine, – wrote people's choice.
In addition, he “shamed” the journalist of “Ukrainska Pravda” Mikhail Tkach and his other colleagues, who informed the general public about Tishchenko's business trip “in the form of a farce.” At the same time, he accused some media of distributing photos of him on vacation, which were taken before the full-scale invasion.

We should also recall the words of Tishchenko that the meetings “of that level” that he held are really the result of long negotiations and protocol preparation. It is simply impossible to organize them in a day, as the media wrote about this, – according to the people's choice.
I emphasize once again that I am on this business trip by order of the leadership. I have all the relevant permissions for this, including the signing of the relevant document from the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, – said Tishchenko.
He stated that I crossed the border on January 10, 2023 – that is, long before the decision of the National Security and Defense Council that officials should not travel outside the country during the war.
The Head of the Parliament says that he did not sign anything
Nikolay Tishchenko emphasized in his message that the President and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would have a report on his work in Asia. As Nikolai noted, he “is authorized only to conduct these negotiations, but has no authority to disseminate their results.” In particular, because of the interest in this information from the Russian media.
However, Tishchenko did not write a lengthy commentary on why he was expelled from the party and faction. He only succinctly noted that “more on this later.”
