After the murder of Alexei Navalny in prison, the Kremlin and the Russian special services began to discuss further actions in towards other oppositionists. In particular, the activities of Mikhail Khodorkovsky are actively discussed.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov reported this on the Internet.
“After the murder of Alexei Navalny in prison, in Moscow, meetings were reportedly held all weekend with the “presidential” administration and the Russian Gestapo(Russian intelligence services) on further actions against other Russian oppositionists,” said a statement from a representative of Ukrainian military intelligence.
He added that in Western countries Navalny was perceived as one of central figures of the opposition to the Kremlin regime. Now, according to Yusov, before the next presidential elections in the Russian Federation, the regime there is looking for ways to counter political figures who reveal the illegitimacy and insignificance of Putin’s reappointment to the post.
“In particular, the activities of Mikhail Khodorkovsky are being actively discussed, who continues to personify a noticeable political and media resource critical of the Russian authorities of war criminals,” – the GUR representative specified.

He added that the Russian Federation is also discussing possible methods for continuing the “purge” of influential persons among the Russian opposition in other countries and the consequences of carrying out active measures in the countries of the free world.
Recall that Navalny’s death became known on February 16. The oppositionist's press secretary, Kira Yarmysh, said that Navalny was killed in the colony at 14:17 local time.

Note that in the summer of 2023, former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich suggested that after the collapse of the Putin regime, the Russian Federation could be headed by Khodorkovsky, who served a sentence in a colony and is considered a prisoner of conscience.
