Over the past two weeks, Putin has not appeared in public even once.
The “freshly elected” Russian President Vladimir Putin has again disappeared from mind and returned to the “bunker” life. He almost never leaves the Kremlin and his residence in Novo-Ogarevo, and over the past two weeks there have been no away events on his schedule at all.
The Agency writes about this.
“In the last year before the elections, Putin reduced his travel to a minimum. In 2023, he spent only 147 days in public, that is, about five months out of 12. The rest of the time he did not travel outside his residences, and “neither journalists nor anyone other than close officials and loyal politicians were invited to his meetings,” the message says.
According to journalists, during the election campaign from December 8 to April 20, Putin took part in 100 outdoor events, but their intensity decreased significantly after March 11. In the last week before the elections, from March 11 to 17, and after April 5, the president was not seen in public at all.
In the last two weeks, Putin participated only in online meetings and held several telephone conversations. He even refused to visit the affected regions after a dam burst in Orsk on April 5, which sparked criticism on social media.
Recall that PACE made sensational decisions about Putin, the Russian Orthodox Church and Russian oil refineries. The presidential elections in the Russian Federation have been called dishonest and unfair, therefore PACE calls for an end to all contacts with Putin’s criminal authorities.
