Mayor's Office of Yakutsk: after the death of a woman, 15 brigades were formed to catch stray dogs

The Yakutsk authorities organized the capture of stray animals in the city after the death of a 53-year-old woman, who was bitten by a pack of stray dogs. This was reported in the Instagram account of the press service of the mayor's office of the Russian city.
So, in the city, 15 teams were formed to catch stray dogs, consisting of 30 catchers. Each team involves skilled workers, dog handlers with experience in catching or handling aggressive animals. They go out on the routes after passing the briefing. The number of catching brigades will be multiplied, the mayor's office promised.
“In all administrations, mobile patrol groups have been assigned, which will provide operational information about the detection and location of large flocks of animals to teams of catchers,” the message says.
Earlier in Yakutsk, a 53-year-old woman was killed by stray dogs on the territory of the hippodrome. The body of the Russian woman was discovered by a student of the agrotechnological faculty on Wednesday, December 29. Investigators have seized documentation from agencies dealing with homeless animals, and are also collecting data on dogs from owners. A criminal case was initiated under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Negligence”).
