After cousin's death: Vinales renounces Moto-GP in Texas

After the death of his cousin Dean Berta Vinales, Maverick Vinales does without the upcoming US Grand Prix.

The Spanish Aprilia rider Maverick Vinales (26) will not take part in the upcoming Moto GP World Championship in Austin, Texas after the tragic accidental death of his cousin. 15-year-old Dean Berta Vinales from the Vinales Racing Team was recently run over and killed in a frame race of the Superbike World Championship in Jerez after a fall. Maverick Vinales broke with Yamaha in the middle of the year and now rides for Aprilia.
