Royal Air Maroc (Morocco) has suspended all flights to Russia for an indefinite period due to for the requirements of the insurance company.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) published such a message from an air carrier from a country in North Africa on the evening of March 16 in its Telegram channel.
“The insurance company has just established a ban on flights to Russia. All flights are canceled,” the Moroccan airline said in a statement, quoted by ATOR.
Earlier, the airspace for Russian aircraft was closed by the EU countries, the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Japan and Australia. This decision was made because of the war unleashed by the Kremlin against Ukraine. The air isolation of the Russian Federation was reinforced by the fact that Russian airlines, on the recommendation of the Federal Air Transport Agency, suspended international flights on March 8.
Recall that on March 16, the Serbian airline Air Serbia canceled all Moscow-Belgrade flights. Passengers who bought tickets began to receive messages about flight cancellations.
