The man from Vorarlberg, now the Mönchengladbach coach, was honored for his success with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Adi Hütter was elected coach of the season by the members of the German players' union VDV. Hütter, who has won this election for the second time, has been awarded the “Silver Coach's Bench”.
The native of Vorarlberg prevailed with 34 percent of the vote ahead of Hansi Flick (29.1 percent / Bayern Munich, now DFB). Third place is shared by Oliver Glasner (Wolfsburg, now Frankfurt) and Julian Nagelsmann (Leipzig, now Bayern Munich), each with 10.6% of the vote.
Adi Hütter: “It is very important to me. Firstly, the competition is very well-known and secondly, it is a great award because it was mainly the players who voted here ”.
All players in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and regional leagues as well as the other VDV members were entitled to vote in the VDV election.
