Activists blocked a street in the White House area
American activists have blocked one of the streets near the fences around the White House in Washington, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the agency, a large group of activists first arrived at the barriers around the residence of the President of the United States in a truck with music speakers. Passers-by and demonstrators gradually gathered in a large group and blocked the street. The police urged them to disperse, but the call did not work.
It is noted that no one hinders the activists. They behave calmly and do not provoke the police yet.
Earlier, the American police and intelligence agencies put up metal fences around the White House in case of an outbreak of violence on the streets of Washington. Police and National Guard units are on duty around them.
General elections are held in the United States on November 3. Americans elect a president and a vice president, and they also have to determine the new composition of the Congress. Joe Biden and Donald Trump are candidates for the post of head of the White House. The outcome largely depends on the results in the “fluctuating states”, where the difference in the ratings of opponents is minimal.
