< p>Russian propagandists took a comment from the father of the Russian pilot Maxim Kuzminov, killed in Spain, who cooperated with Ukrainian intelligence and flew his helicopter to Ukrainian territory.
The video was distributed by Russian propaganda media.
In a conversation with propagandists, Kuzminov’s father Oleg Sivaev said that he considers his son a traitor and a “Judas”.
“How Judas acted… Nowhere did either side respect a traitor. A traitor is a traitor. And at the same time, I feel sorry for him that he wasted his time on such a trifle, a betrayer your homeland, fatherland, your loved ones,” said Kuzminov’s father.
He last saw his son in 2013. They even have different last names. Most likely, his father did not participate in Kuzminov’s upbringing. Whether the man agreed to such an interview with propagandists voluntarily, or whether he was forced is still unknown.
Recall that Maxim Kuzminov transported a Russian Mi-8 helicopter from Kursk to the Kharkov region in August 2023. Besides him, there were technician Nikita Kiryanov and navigator Khushbakht Tursunov on board, who did not know about Kuzminov’s plans. During a special operation, they were killed because they refused to surrender.
Kuzminov’s mother left Russia several months before the helicopter operation.
February 13 of this year, Maxim Kuzminov was killed in the city of La Villajoyos (Spain).
According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Danilov, the pilot was offered to remain on the territory of Ukraine, but he decided to leave for Spain. Ukrainian intelligence warned the Russian that his life was in danger.
