A court in St. Petersburg (Russia) has not sent the so-called “Orthodox blogger” Claud Rommel, accused of raping his partner's 11-year-old daughter, to jail. Instead, the blogger is fighting under contract against Ukraine.

31-year-old Claud Rommel is accused of systematically raping a girl, the underage daughter of his partner, from September 2022 to February 2024. According to the media, he moved the child into his room because of, in his words, “the child's difficult relationship with her mother.”
A relative of the girl contacted the police (the mother did not contact the police). Only in 2024 did the story become public. The child was placed in an orphanage, and Rommel found himself in a war zone. He went to war against Ukraine after the police began to check information about his relationship with a minor.
Who is the “Orthodox blogger” in reality
According to the husband's father, the blogger's real name is Alexander. He renounced his name when he returned from military action in eastern Ukraine in 2014, when he was wounded and became a believer. The man moved to St. Petersburg and decided to start a new life under the name of a Wehrmacht field marshal.
Sources report that the investigation has “ironclad grounds for opening a case” on the rape of a minor and violent sexual assault. At the same time, Rommel is not being detained. The blogger himself denies guilt, although he admitted that he gave a “medical massage” to a girl. In addition, Rommel may have more victims, namely other girls from so-called dysfunctional families. These children also appeared in his blogs.
The court hearing on October 3 was held behind closed doors. In the end, the court rejected the motion to take Claud Rommel into custody. Instead, he was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of supervision by the command of the military unit until the end of his contract.
“Since the person is a serviceman, his contract is valid, he must report to the unit. Roughly speaking, he came from the SVO only because there are a lot of fragments in his leg. Sometimes it is impossible to immediately perform an operation there,” said Rommel's lawyer.
Recall that over the years, scandals have been added in Ukraine due to violence and aggression in the methods of raising orphans in boarding schools.
