В России начали блокировать доступ к YouTube

Russian authorities say that these actions were “provoked” by the service itself.

The Russian dictatorial regime has decided to restrict access to the YouTube service for Russian residents..

This is reported by the publication Bloomberg.

Thus, the Kremlin regime wants to block one of the last American services on the territory of the Russian Federation.

It is reported that the download speed from YouTube to computers will decrease by about 40% this week. By the end of next week, the speed will drop to 70%, said Alexander Khinshtein, head of the technology committee of the lower house of the State Duma.

According to him, this is allegedly a consequence of YouTube's policy, “consistently deleting the channels of our public figures” whose position does not coincide with the “Western point of view.”

He also added that the restrictions will not affect access to the service from mobile devices for now.

Recall that it was previously reported that Russia experienced large-scale failures in the work of social networks and providers.
