About 300 homeless migrants set up camp in front of the mayor's office in Paris
The humanitarian association Utopia56 reported that about 300 homeless migrants set up tents in front of the Paris City Hall, demanding that their housing problems be settled, TASS reports.
“This Thursday, 300 single women and families with dozens of homeless minors camped in tents on the Place de Ville in Paris. Together with the Utopia56 teams, they are urgently calling for help and asking the government to provide decent and permanent housing, ”the organization said in a statement.
According to the organizers of the action, the shelters have been completely filled for several weeks now, and arriving migrants have to distribute tents so that they can live right on the street.
It is emphasized that neither the prefecture, nor the mayor's office are responding to their requests for temporary shelters for the homeless.
We will remind that the Hungarian authorities back in 2015, at the very beginning of the migration crisis, advocated the introduction of strict control over the flows of refugees in Europe. This country was the first in the European Union to stop allowing visitors from the Middle East and Africa to enter its territory. In Budapest, they believe that fighters of terrorist organizations can enter the EU together with illegal migrants.
