Many tourists enjoy visiting it.
Apart from relaxing on the beach or sightseeing in cities, some tourists also like to explore creepy places.
One of the places where they can do this is Turkey, where a small town has remained abandoned for 100 years, writes The Sun.
Ruins of houses, churches and other buildings can be found in Kayakoy, a district of Fethiye in Mugla province where hundreds of people once lived before the town was evacuated.
The ugly streets are left behind and people can wander from building to building and see the lives of those who used to live there.
The last inhabitants were predominantly Greek Orthodox, but were forced to leave their homes after the Greco-Turkish War in 1919-1922.
This happened thanks to the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923, which contained a protocol on the exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey.
He permanently banned Greek Orthodox refugees from returning to their homes in Turkey and forced them to leave their homes and travel to Greece.
Likewise, he also demanded that Greek Muslim citizens leave Greece permanently and move to Turkey.
While most Turkish cities evacuated by Greek Orthodox residents were successfully repurposed by returnees from Greece, which were left empty.
Some say this happened because people were scared away by rumors of ghosts living there.
In any case, the houses remained abandoned and now serve as museums of the period, with some houses still in good condition.
One person who visited this place showed what it was like to wander around an abandoned city.
“Some of the houses are still more or less intact. It was abandoned due to the population exchange between Turkey and Greece. According to local residents, the Turks did not want to move to this city because of the supposed ghosts. Walking along the old streets of the city seems creepy, but it is undoubtedly an interesting place to visit,” commented the traveler.

Let's remember that a woman bought a church from 1842 and turned it into a house . She showed a video of how she arranged everything.
