After a Dutch beer company broke its promise to exit the Russian market. In response, disgruntled netizens began to boycott the company.

To date, despite the associated losses, the Dutch brewing company has announced its exit from the Russian market. This should happen in the first half of 2023.

Heineken said it expects a €300 million loss if it is sold as early as the first half of 2023.

“Meanwhile, our local colleagues are doing everything possible to keep the business, avoid nationalization and ensure that their livelihoods are not at risk,” – said the press service of the company.

Earlier it became known that in March 2022 , Heineken promised to withdraw its business from Russia after this aggressor country invaded Ukraine. But an investigative report by Dutch website Follow the Money claims that the company's reports showed its Russian arm “launched 61 new products 'in record time' and sold 720,000 hectoliters more beer and soft drinks.”
