A 23-year-old woman who attempted to rob a bank on Avtozavodskaya Street in July and took a hostage will be tried in the Obolon district Court of Kiev.
To seize the money, the woman first threw a lit bottle of flammable liquid into the bank’s premises.
Then, threatening with a gun-like object, she began to demand money from the employees.
The last requirement of the attacker was fulfilled and transferred to her 15 thousand UAH.
After that, the suspect took a 35-year-old visitor hostage and tried to escape.
The malefactor was detained at the exit of the bank. Her hostage was not injured.
Subsequently, experts recognized the woman as sane.

In court, she will be responsible for three articles of the Criminal Code at once – robbery at a banking institution, hostage-taking and damage to property.
For what she has done, the accused faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
