On the advice of a medicine man, an Indian woman drowned her nephew's daughter.
In the city of Pattukottay (Tamil Nadu state) in southern India, at the house of a local resident, the police exhumed the corpse of a 6-month-old girl. The woman kidnapped the baby from her nephew and drowned him on the advice of the healer.

As it turned out, the kidnapper's husband had recently returned from abroad and was seriously ill. His wife turned to one of the local healers, who allegedly advised her to sacrifice a child, but she must be bloodless.
Then the woman kidnapped her nephew's 6-month-old daughter, took her to her home and drowned there baby in the bathroom. After that, she buried the murdered woman in her yard.
The police exhumed the child's body and sent him for an autopsy.
