~6 0~p>She planned to die on April 25th, her 34th birthday.
Boyfriend of Yolanda Fan, a physically fit Dutch woman who planned to commit suicide by euthanasia after battling depression, shared a poignant message in her honor.
Yolanda previously said she wanted to be the last person in the Netherlands to have a doctor-assisted death because she was in “constant pain” due to mental health problems.
She had struggled with severe depression since she was seven years old and was medically diagnosed at age 22. Speaking to The Sunday Times, she explained that she also has autism and mild learning difficulties and she wanted to “quit life”.
She planned the day of her death on her birthday, April 25, but it is unclear whether the woman actually died. That day, her partner Peter Silvius posted a message on Facebook, in which he expressed the hope that his beloved “will no longer suffer from pain.”
He wrote: “Sweet Yolanda… This is your day, your birthday and the day your wish comes true, a day with two sides. Miss you so much as you begin your final journey to a place where you will find peace and no more you will feel pain. I love you, you are in my heart forever, I wish you a good last trip and see you later.” Yolanda responded with a kissing emoji and added, “Thank you honey.” She hasn't posted anything since then.
Yolanda told The Sunday Times that she was in a relationship with a 51-year-old man and that he “knew from the start” that she was planning to kill herself. She noted that the situation was “confusing,” adding, “But he really wants to have a good time together.”
Peter also shared an Instagram post showing quotes that appear to be another tribute to Yolanda. The message said: “Listen to me okay. I love you. I love you more with every breath. I've never loved anyone the way I love you. I'm crying for you. No matter what you do, I can't you stop loving you.” /thumbs/x/92/e0/244db2c92b4a154c587bb2ff8654e092.jpeg” width=”1200″ height=”1768″ alt=”Peter Silvius addressed Yolanda Fan/© “>
Note that in the Netherlands the law allows euthanasia for psychiatric reasons.
Recall that in Canada the family received the body of a Russian instead of their father. The family's vacation turned into endless horror.
