Military analyst, former adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Kopytko spoke about this on his Facebook page.
“In a month there will be a fork in the road – either some clarity will come and a basis for planning will appear, or the US will fail to recognize the election results during the crisis. And then for at least another three months all the world's hooligans will be able to do whatever they want. This will be the ideal time for action, if not possible, but if it is really necessary and desired, then it is possible,” — he wrote.
Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, but according to an analyst, little is heard about the organization, and the situation in Gaza has been pushed into the background. He notes that if the rumors about American aircraft refueling tanks are confirmed, this will raise the temperature of the discussion.
In the context of Ukraine, the analyst points to a “war of signals” where it is difficult to understand what Ukraine can expect in exchange for a “freeze” on the front. He emphasizes that without real guarantees, such as financial support and arms supplies, the situation could lead to recognition of the territories seized by Russia.
Recall that according to an Ipsos poll published on Thursday, August 8, Democrat Kamala Harris is ahead of Republican Donald Trump with a score of 42% to 37%.
