A US military plane crashed in the Mediterranean Sea during training flights with mid-air refueling.
Voice of America correspondent Jeff Seldin reports this, citing the US European Command (EUCOM).
“During a routine airborne refueling mission as part of a military training exercise,” the details were reported slightly on November 10.
The US European Command previously noted that the flight was a training flight and there were no signs of hostile activity. The causes of the incident are being investigated.
The US Navy has strengthened its presence in the Mediterranean following the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas, a militant group designated by the US government as a terrorist group.
Let us recall that the European Command of the US Armed Forces has 65,000 permanent military personnel responsible for US operations in Europe, parts of Asia and the Middle East, the Arctic and the Atlantic Ocean.
Previously, the command did not report the fate of the pilots who were on the plane on November 10.
