The only air defense force in Europe will allow aircraft not only from Poland, but also from France and Romania to protect the airspace of Ukraine.
The creation of a unified system of air defense forces should be one of the points of agreement on the protection of the Ukrainian sky.
Aircraft expert, deputy director of the company for the production of electronic warfare equipment Anatoly Khrapchinsky spoke about this on “Espresso”.
According to the expert, if Poland’s air defense systems operate from its territory, this will be limited to 150 km.
“If we talk about the possibility of entering airspace, then we can close the entire Right Bank of Ukraine, even Kiev. There are planes in Poland that Sweden should transfer to us. They, together with the F-16, can work effectively. Then not only Kyiv can be protected, but also other regions. However, this is already a matter of closing the airspace by the military forces of another country,” Khrapchinsky said.
He noted that Poland actively advocates the creation of a unified European air defense force, that is, the unification of all countries into a single system, which will greatly facilitate the coordination of capabilities and countries with large systems will be able to distribute their forces. < /p>
“We can talk about the inclusion of Ukraine in these forces, because Ukraine has the opportunity to transfer its unique experience. Our country shot down Russian Kh-101 and Kinzhal missiles, so we can transfer our knowledge,” the aviation expert explained .
Therefore, according to the expert, it is with this thesis that it is necessary to go into negotiations with Europe on the creation of a unified air defense force.
“Then Ukrainian F-16 aircraft provided by Western partners will be able to be based, for example, on the territory of Poland or Romania without being involved in hostilities, which is legally easier to do. Poland will not agree to the aircraft being based on their territories, but at the same time flew on combat missions in Ukraine. Then this will mean direct involvement in the war against Russia,” the aviation expert explained.
Meanwhile, Poland will not shoot down Russian missiles in the skies over Ukraine that are flying towards it, without the consent of all NATO members. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of the country Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamish announced this the day before.
