A Ukrainian soldier was blown up by a mine, which was remotely set by pro-Russian militants.
The lieutenant, who is 49 years old, was taken to the hospital, according to the press service of the Joint Forces Operations headquarters.
The state of the Ukrainian soldier is assessed by doctors as moderate.
The JFO headquarters recalled that plastic mines used by terrorists & # 8220; DPR & # 8221; and & # 8220; LPR & # 8221; are prohibited by international conventions.
The reasons for their prohibition were the infliction of significant suffering on servicemen and civilians during their detonation and subsequent removal of fragments from the body of the wounded.
Recall that earlier commander of the JFO Alexander Pavlyuk said, that Moscow is considering an option in which the RF Armed Forces will surround the Ukrainian troops in Donbass for their complete elimination.
He clarified that the Ukrainian side is ready for such a scenario from 2017-2018, but any development of the situation can be expected from Russia , even inadequate.
Pavlyuk added that such an option may be the main one, since in case of a head-to-head attack, the Russian Federation can suffer huge losses.
