The International Space Station (ISS) has encountered a series of problems. This was reported by cosmonaut Anatoly Ivanishin to a flight control center specialist, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, the “Electron-VM” oxygen production system was out of order at the station. He also complained about a smoke-filled vacuum cleaner, and that a light bulb in the toilet lit up, warning of a poor-quality preservative. Commenting on the last malfunction, a specialist on Earth suggested that a bubble could form in the waste processing system.

Recently, emergency situations have become more frequent on the ISS. So, on October 11, a toilet in the Russian segment was already breaking down, it took a day to fix it. Electron-VM was out of order only four days ago.

In addition, the astronauts faced an air leak. The hole could not be found for a long time, options with cotton wool and tea bags were offered to search for it. On October 15, the leak was found, the crack reaches two to four centimeters, it was sealed with Kapton tape.

Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin, Ivan Wagner, Sergei Ryzhikov and Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, as well as NASA astronauts Christopher Cassidy and Kathleen Rubins are currently working on the ISS.
