About a third of Americans who voted for Democratic candidate Joe Biden in the US presidential election were motivated by protest. Interfax reports this with reference to CNN exit polls.
Only 64 percent of US residents who voted for Biden share his political beliefs, while the rest voted against incumbent President Donald Trump. At the same time, 81 percent of voters who preferred Trump voted for their candidate.
November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives will be elected.
