A terrible accident involving Ukrainians occurred in Poland: “People flew into the air”

In the city of Szczecin in northwestern Poland, on March 1, a terrible accident occurred – the driver of a car drove into a crowd of people, among whom were also Ukrainians.

The Polish publication Wyborcza reports this with reference to the district prosecutor's office.

“Pedestrians simply flew into the air , I heard screams. It was like scenes from a movie or a computer game. It could have been any of us,” said a witness to the accident.

According to photojournalist Wyborcza, who also witnessed the accident, the driver did not slow down after the second collision with people and did not try to go around anyone.

As TVN24 writes with reference to local authorities, a 33-year-old driver of a Ford car hit a group of people waiting to stop. After that, he drove away from the scene of the accident, colliding with three more cars on the road.

As a result of the accident, 20 people were injured. Two are in extremely serious condition, four are in serious condition. Among the victims there are children under five years old. Six victims are citizens of Ukraine.

Recall that in Poland, a car hit more than a dozen pedestrians.
